HARDCOURT TOURNAMENTS

Hi folks,

I had a great last week winning Hamburg with Alex Peya. I was even more happy for Alex because it was his first ATP Tour win and I could share this moment with him. We had a really great week, from my side I played really well in the semis and finals. We beat good teams. I hope we will have time this year to play some more doubles together again.

After that, I should normally go to LA as I entered to play with Tipsarevic but we decided not to play. So I was flying home to Graz and on Tuesday did an MRI on my left shoulder and right wrist in the LKH Hospital in Graz. I did just a check up if I have heavier injuries as I thought, but the result was good for me, just some inflammation. So I have to take more rest with massages and so on. I've played a lot of tournaments so far this year so the body has to rest sometimes.

Now I'm in Washington playing together with Juergen Melzer. We entered here also because we might gonna try to get a ticket for the Olympic Games. We chose a very hard tournament for our ATP team debut, but I hope we can as well as in the DC. I'm looking forward to our first round versus Erlich/Ram. It'll be a very good match.

After that I will go to Panama to see my second family. Lucas is injured already 4 weeks now with his wrist and he cancelled me today for Montreal so I decided not to play there and go back to Panama. Our fitness coach will come to Panama to work with me there for one week and then we will fly to Cinncinati. I don't know yet if Lucas can play there, everything depends on how he's recovering, otherwise I'll have to find someone else to play with.
